Covering the following calibrations (in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 40 GHz, and for Type-N, PC 3.5 mm and PC 2.4 mm connectors):
- Calibration factor of power sensors (thermistors, thermocouples and low-power sensors) - Calibration of high-power wattmeters - Measurement of power - Measurement of power sensor linearity All this calibration work is supported by automated software, specifically developed at the laboratory, including uncertainty budget computation. The RF & Microwave Laboratory has taken part and acted as pilot laboratory in several national intercomparisons, whose results showed an excellent technical level. The RF Research Department has facilities for 30 MHz to 40 GHz antenna measurements and for 1.5 to 40 GHz RCS measurements: Scale Model Measurement Field (12x12x12m semi-open anechoic chamber) Compact Field for Antenna and RCS Measurements (inside a 30x18x13m anechoic chamber) |
