|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2010-09-06 | Mirella Buzoianu | National Institute of Metrology | Gas analyser ABB type (CO, CO2, O2, SO2 and NOx measurements)
ICP/MS Elan DRCII Type and AAS SOLAAR Type for platinum and mercury measurements |

| 2010-07-20 | Hugo Ent | VSL | VSL has a range of gravimetric and dynamic dilution preparation capabilities for gas and liquid mixtures. As such VSL is interested in SRT 6e to offer its capabilities for the development of an improved primary standard for mercury vapour, and e.g. research into applicable materials (minimized adsorption) and calibration improvements for mercury generators and monitors. Furthermore VSL has capabilities for the analysis of biofuels, which capabilities may be applied within the project as biofuel additions to fossil fuel do change the combustion and exhaust (e.g. with respect to particles emitted) characteristics of engines. | |
| 2010-06-21 | Richard J. C. Brown | NPL | NPL are interested in objectives 1 and 3 in this SRT.
NPL has extensive experience of Hg vapour measurement in ambient air and we also measure Hg and Pt group metals in particulate matter as part of the UK Heavy Metals Monitoring Network which NPL run on behalf of the UK government. Our particular world-leading contribution in recent times has been in establishing the SI traceability of mercury vapour measurements, benchmarking the accuracy of the so-called Dumarey equation for mercury vapour in air, validating and calibrating mercury vapour generators, producing and validating standard methods for Hg vapour measurement in CEN TC264 WG25, and researching into Hg particulate to Hg vapour ratios in ambient air. |
