2010-08-18 Elsa Batista Portuguese Institute for Quality (IPQ) The Volume Laboratory of IPQ works in the field of static volume of liquid and calibrates glassware equipment and standard tests measures between 1 microliter up to 5000 L.
We have plans to develop a dynamic system for measurement of flow but we don’t have the facilities yet, only some knowledge in flow measurements. We believe that we can contribute to this project - Flow metrology for industrial process control in the uncertainty calculation and data analyses.
2010-07-09 Mijndert Van der Beek VSL Dutch Metrology institute Several test and calibration facillities for LP& HP Gases, Liquids (water, hydrocarbons). Software for CFD , uncertainty analyses for CFD, contacts with numerous manufacturers, distribution companies, universities, endusers.
2010-06-22 VAHIT CIFTCI TUBITAK UME Capability of UME Fluid mechanics laboratory consists of calibration and testing of gas, water, liquid other than water flow rates measuring instruments and anemometers for gas velocity measuring instruments. Gas flow rate measuring ranges cover 1 mL/min - 60 Sm3/h with an uncertainty of 0.05 -0,6 % (k=2), 10 - 7100 Sm3/h with an uncertainty of 0.18 - 0.20 % (k=2), and 320 – 19 500 Sm3/h with an uncertainty of 0.20 -0.35 % (k=2).

UME Fluid mechanic laboratory has also facilities with pressurized air, pressurized source, pressurized air storage tank with volume of 7.5 m3, 3 peaces pressure controlled regulators in series, air measuring and controlling system and equipments for testing and calibration of the clamp on ultrasonic flow meters under the pressure up to 30 bars.
FLEXIM GmbH, due to its main field of activity, has produce and develop clamp on ultrasonic flow meter for measurement of natural gas. Company has a supporting letter would like to participate the project during the development of the it to TUBITAK UME and then use the final development data products based on the developed “K” factor function of the flow meters, related with Reynolds numbers and the other parameters, corrections of flow meters’ Soft ware accordingly.
Dr. Vahit CIFTCI, obtained a BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1975 and MSc. degree in Energy in 1977 from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul-Turkey and he obtained PhD. Degree in Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics in 1983 from Strathclyde University – UK. He had worked at the Firat University – Turkey in 1983-1985 as assistant Professor. In 1985-1995, he had worked at the Glass factory in Istanbul as R&D Engineer. And finally he has been working at National Metrology Institute of Turkey (UME) as head senior researcher in the field of Fluid flow Measurement since 1995.

During fifteen years Vahit CIFTCI has established; Volume and density laboratory, Liquid viscosity laboratory, Water flow meter calibration laboratory (Flow range up to 3000 m3/h), Water flow meter type approval Systems, Water pumps and valves type approval Systems, Oil flow meter calibration laboratory (Flow range up to 300 m3/h), Establishment of Gas flow meter calibration laboratory (Flow range up to 20 000 m3/h), Establishment of Gas flow meter type approval Systems, Establishment of Gas Fans and valves type approval Systems, Establishment of Gas Anemometer type approval Systems.

He has got many articles about above subjects
